Children unaccompanied / or traveling with you
Every year, Air France transports almost two million
passengers under 12, including 450,000 unaccompanied minors
and 410,000 babies.
These youngsters receive extra special care. With Plančte
Bleue, Air France's service for young travelers, unaccompanied
minors or children traveling with their family can discover
the joy of flying. |
|
New Plančte Bleue Service

Starting in February 2006, youngsters from 12 up to (but not including) 18
years of age, traveling on their own, will be able to take advantage of
Plančte Bleue!
Plančte Bleue offers many advantages to unaccompanied minors from 12 up to
(but not including) 18 years of age
Air France personnel watch over them from initial check-in to the final
meeting with the person you have designated to welcome them upon arrival.
This supervision is particularly useful for transfers in major airports such
as Paris Charles de Gaulle or in countries where they may not speak the
language.
They receive a special badge during check-in that allows them to be easily
identified throughout their trip.
They have access to the Plančte Bleue lounges at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and
Paris Orly during transfers of 2 hours or more.
On long-distance flights, they receive the GEO Ado magazine and an adult
meal.
This Plančte Bleue service is offered on Air France* flights.
It is an optional, paid service. To request this service, book your ticket
by telephone.

Just like a playground for kids aged 2 to 11!
-
Special events are organized at airports during major holiday periods.
-
Music channels and cartoons are available on long-distance flights.
-
Before movies are shown, inflatable height-enhancement cushions are given to
the smallest children upon request.
-
Pencils, coloring books and games, along with the Plančte Bleue magazine and
the High Flier diploma are distributed by the crew.
-
Children's items are also on sale in the on-board shop.
-
On all flights over two-and-a-half hours long, a special Plančte Bleue meal
is served. All you need to do is order it when you make your reservation or
purchase your ticket, up to 24 hours before departure.
Extra special care
During vacation time, a "family assistant" helps cabin crew on flights where
a high proportion of family customers are present. An air-steward or hostess
in their own right.
This "assistant" gives special care to families with children and
unaccompanied minors on some long-distance flights over the West Indies,
Indian Ocean, Africa and Middle East network.
They can be recognized thanks to a badge, and are there to make the journey
as pleasant as possible: setting up skycots, warming bottles and handing out
games.
At the airport

Top-priority passengers
On long-distance flights, your whole family boards more quickly. Before
boarding, you can relax with events and mini-competitions during major
holiday periods.
Special care for the length of your journey
From games to meals, everything is organized so that our smaller passengers
can get the very most out of their journey.
Your little ones travel at mini-prices!
· Under 2 years of age: free on domestic flights (France), and 10% of the
price of an adult fare on international routes.
· From 2 to 11 years of age: discounts of up to 50% on domestic flights
(France) and up to 33% on international routes.
The "High Flier" diploma

Air France has created the "High Flier" diploma.
Children can get it once they have completed a certificate with the help of
the onboard team.
Don't forget to ask for yours!
Does your child have all the documents required by the police, customs and
immigration in the destination country?
We advise that you obtain information from the relevant authorities well in
advance
